Mariam Diallo, Senior Education Data Analyst
Mariam Diallo’s responsibilities include leading data quality reviews of pre-K through 12th-grade data submitted by state education agencies for the EDFacts Initiative; supporting U.S. Department of Education (ED) program offices in their outreach to states; facilitating the sharing of EDFacts data across program offices; and helping produce final data products published to ED sites for public use by stakeholders and researchers.
“My entry into education as a profession began with my interest in student educational outcomes and the role that policy plays in shaping it. I’m excited to work hands-on every day, helping to ensure that quality data are being made available for use to help inform and reshape policy decisions that ideally lead to better outcomes for students.”
Mariam’s previous work experience includes more than five years working directly with youth, as a tutor in Title I schools, an ESOL tutor, and an educator at a school for autism. She also has experience with tracking trends in quantitative data and performing qualitative education research in school settings.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in international relations from William & Mary and a master’s degree in education psychology from the University of Virginia.
