Beth Young, PhD, Co-Founder and President

Beth Young has devoted most of her career to data-related initiatives for the U.S. Department of Education. She has developed and implemented data standards, managed national data collections, provided statistical analysis, and conducted studies to create research publications. Beth has a record of advancing the consistency, comparability, and quality of education data.

“We are very proud of the reputation QIP has built around providing high-quality products in a timely manner,” Beth says. “Our commitment to this is very important to us.”

Beth also has expertise in project management, collaboration, and developing relationships with stakeholders, having routinely facilitated consensus-building meetings with federal, state, and local teams. She has successfully directed and implemented data quality and use initiatives throughout all phases of the data collection and reporting cycle. She has also delivered numerous presentations at national data, statistical, interoperability, and advocacy meetings and conferences.

Beth holds a PhD in Education Policy from George Mason University, an MPA from Arizona State University and a BA in Policy Studies from Syracuse University. Beth is a Virginia Business Women in Leadership Award recipient for 2020-21. She also serves on the City of Fairfax Economic Development Authority and in her free time can be found on the soccer field as a player and coach.
