Mary Barron serves as a writer, editor, publications specialist, and team leader. She produces and manages traditional and online media projects that include content development, writing, editing, graphic design, layout, and Section 508 compliance.

Mary has led a variety of projects relating to print documents, interactive media, and graphics for numerous U.S. Department of Education programs, including the Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems Grant Program, the National Forum on Education Statistics, the Early Learning Challenge Technical Assistance program, and other federal programs.

“I believe the most effective publications are the result of teamwork,” Mary says. “QIP’s staff encompasses a wide array of skills, and the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

Prior to her work with QIP, Mary served as assistant editor for a nonprofit association for public housing authorities. She holds an MA in Professional Writing/Editing from George Mason University and a BA in Sociology from Clemson University. She enjoys cheering on Clemson’s football team and researching family history.
