Kelli Sampson, Senior Education Analyst
Kelli Sampson, senior education analyst, specializes in the Common Core of Data (CCD). She leads the team of analysts charged with data collection, data quality analysis, and file production for the CCD files that are published by the National Center for Education Statistics of the U.S. Department of Education. Her work also includes other EDFactsTechnical Support Services data management tasks that focus on the improved quality and use of EDFacts data.
Prior to joining QIP, Kelli was an elementary school teacher for seven years. Her experience ranges from first grade to world language instruction in several large public school districts. Kelli’s research work during her MA program piqued her interest in education data.
"Knowing the importance of the CCD data and how it impacts policy decisions,” Kelli says, “it is very rewarding to work on improving the quality of the data and seeing it have an impact on multiple programs and publications."
Kelli holds a BA in Elementary Education and Spanish from North Park University, Chicago, and an MA in Teacher Leadership from Saint Mary’s College of California. She enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the DC area.
